2 years ago Soleil Radio launched across the Channel Islands on DAB Radio and online. Created in house during lockdown playing relaxing music from the 60’s onwards. This week we have replaced the original format.
Soleil now plays the islands greatest songs from the 70’s to the end of the 90’s. We’ve put the new station together from scratch with nothing carried over from the original station over the last 4 weeks, alongside presenting a daily drive show and doing all the other things a 2 man programming team has to do. It’s been rather busy!
Me, my boss Spencer and the MD James have spent hours working on the music to get it right for the audience across the Channel Islands and our advertisers. We’ve updated the website and have a clear vision of how to make Soleil the commercial success it deserves to be.
Everything apart from jingles and production has been done in house, the result is a station I’m extremely proud of. It rivals anything the big brands can offer musically, whilst being unique to the Channel Islands.
Soleil Radio will evolve, it fits perfectly alongside Channel 103 and Island FM.
